CAMWorks and K&N, High Performance Partnership

World renowned performance filter manufacturer K&N recently partnered with CAMWorks for their Riverside, California operation. K&N Engineering, best known under the brand name, K&N Filters is a leader in the air filter technology field. The company invented the reusable high flow cotton air filter back in 1969 and has continued to “perfect” the technology ever since. The company’s over 5,000 products include air filters, oil filters and intakes and sells in over 30 countries world wide. Its products are used on cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines and for industrial applications. K&N holds a prominent position in the motor sports and performance engine arenas.

CAMWorks 2012 DVD request

Please note CAMWorks 2012 DVDs will not automatically be mailed out to customers currently on support. We encourage customers to download the new version from the CAMWorks website.

However, customers may "opt in" to receive a DVD by mail at no charge. To do so, simply follow the link below, fill in the information, and submit. The DVD should arrive in 5-10 business days via USPS 1st Class mail.

CAMWorks Volumill: Program Smarter! Machine Faster! Improve Tool life

CAMWorks® VoluMill™ is an optional and newly introduced milling toolpath engine within CAMWorks for 2.5 axis and 3 axis roughing operations. It is ideal for prismatic parts and complex 3-D shapes, producing more intelligent toolpaths to machine pockets, slots, and arbitrary shapes. CAMWorks 2012 supports SolidWorks 2012/CAMWorks Solids 2012 and SolidWorks 2011/CAMWorks Solids 2012 and is the only version of CAMWorks that supports SolidWorks 2012/CAMWorks Solids 2012.
This release is the full build for English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Chinese Traditional versions.

To Comp or Not to Comp....That is the Question

Many CAMWorks users have recently asked questions about Toolpath Center Compensation and whether or not to run with it or without it. At CAMS, we strongly recommend taking advantage of CAMWorks Toolpath Center Compensation functionality. One of the main benefits of a CAM system is the ability to display, simulate, and evaluate toolpath prior to machine movement. Take full advantage of this benefit; alleviate considerable confusion for the user while also ensuring on-screen display represents the output code.
